Dental Veneers

Dental veneers are wafer-thin shells of porcelain or resin that are bonded to the tooth enamel to change their appearance. Typically, veneers are applied to the front surfaces of the teeth to disguise smile imperfections. This cosmetic treatment requires careful treatment planning, which involve taking impressions of your teeth as well as gathering all information about your smile. We want to be thorough and detailed so you can have the smile you have always wanted!

Dental veneers can treat many imperfections. In fact, they can treat things like:

  • Cracked teeth
  • Broken teeth
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Chipped teeth
  • Discolored teeth

Typically, installing a dental veneer over your tooth takes two appointments at our office. During the first appointment, our dentists will prepare your teeth, take impressions of your smile, and then give you a temporary veneer. Then, we have to wait 3 to 4 weeks while the dental laboratory technicians custom make your perfect veneer. Your veneer will generally be made of porcelain or pressed ceramic. These two materials are both beautiful and natural looking. When we get the dental veneer back from the lab, you’ll come back into our office. During the second treatment, our dentists will remove the temporary veneer and bond the new veneer to your teeth.

Dental Fillings and Restorations

Even though amalgam fillings, which are also known as silver fillings, are quite common, they are not your only option anymore. Today, tooth-colored fillings, which are also known as composite resin fillings, are available at our office and they provide natural-looking and strong results. These fillings are beneficial because they chemically bond to your tooth’s outer surface, which is also known as your tooth enamel. These fillings can help when you need to repair damage from a cavity or if you want to replace a silver filling to improve the appearance of your smile. These fillings will strengthen your teeth as well as give you a natural-looking appearance.
